**Investigation: Abacus enquiry.**

Using a tens/ones abacus and five pegs I can make the number 32 like this (three tens and two ones).

If I moved the pegs around, what different numbers could I make? I can only use five pegs each time but could move them onto either the tens or ones columns.

How many different numbers do you think you could make if we added a hundreds column? Why do you think this?
